Playing with shapes

Updated: Apr 9, 2020

I used a few Visual Elements in my design Shape, Colour and size. I used some rotational Elements while making the shapes by direction, I also used Repetition to create a rendered background texture. Hierarchy Colour contrast, Proximity and Similarity used to help create the positive and negative.

Techniques used-

- Rule of thirds, in the poster you can see how the person is not right in the centre, that is the same with the sun and the end of the dark geometric shapes ''the past''

- Visual Elements, there's a variety of Visual Elements in this poster like the difference in the shape, colour and size (the sun is just a plain light grey circle to show the positive)

- Repetition, the posters mainly made up of triangles and rectangles to make the landscape.

- Interrelationships in form of ''Positive and Negative" and detachment, most shapes are close but still detached to create the dramatic effect of positive and negative (dark and light)

- Hierarchy Colour Contrast, Proximity and Similarity.
